ADR – Accord Dangereuses Route Transportation

Our company’s complete vehicle fleet for haulage is equipped for the shipment of dangerous things according to the ADR agreement. All of our drivers succesfully passed the ADR training as well and there is a trained safety advisor for ADR shipment in our company.

The European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road i.e. ADR agreement currently has 39 member states. Hazardous materials are fabrics and items, which character, features or conditions may endanger the safety of animals, people, things and the environment while being transported.

According to the ADR agreement, when the haulier transports hazardous material, he is therefore obliged to:

  • Use only vehicles that are eligible for ADR goods shipment
  • Make sure that the shipment will be only carried out by trained drivers
  • Establish a safety advisor for the hazardous material ADR transport.
  • Arrange for the driver to check whether he received all necessary documents and accompanying certificate from the sender. The driver must also have the compulsory equipment ADR and a fire extinguisher

The classes of dangerous goods according to ADR are the following:

Class 3 Flammable liquids
Class 4.1 Flammable solids
Class 4.2 Substances liable to spontaneous combustion
Class 4.3 Substances which, in contact with water, emit flammable gases
Class 5.1 Oxidizing substances
Class 5.2 Organic peroxides
Class 6.1 Toxic substances
Class 6.2 Infectious substances
Class 7 Radioactive material
Class 8 Corrosive substances
Class 9 Miscellaneous dangerous substances and articles
